Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is an actor famous for her character Bo in the Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed actor, director, producer, playwright as well as Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers her very first memory as being at play rehearsals with her mother. Silk was a small actress in commercials. The year 1997 was the time she graduated with an associate's degree from St. Thomas University. Her early theater experience includes two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto Canada in the fall of 1999 in order to pursue her acting. She then relocated to Los Angeles California during the next decade. Silk met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's workshop held in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009, and then married in a civil ceremony that took place in December. When she converted to Judaism and they renew their vows in an Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011 in Fredericton. Silk gave birth to a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. She landed a principal role in the role of Bo Dennis, a succubus, in Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the third season finale episode. The news was announced to viewers of the show in the Showcase preview of the Season Three special on January 6 2013. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. On the 20th of June 2013 Silk tweeted that she was back to the set of the show. CNN Cable News Network named Bo, along with Lauren Zoie Palmer as the couples with identical sexuality on Lost Girl to be one of its favorite TV Couples of All Time. E! Magazine declared that they were the top Television Couples of 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge following on Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its popularity.
