| Anna Paquin, a New Zealand-Canadian actress and film theater actor, is most well-known for her roles in films such as The PianoFly Away Home and X-Men. She entered the world of acting at the age of 11 in the film The Piano, for which she won the Oscar Award for Best Actress in a supporting Role. The actress had no intention of become an actress but fate determined otherwise. After her breakthrough in her debut film she received many offers which she did not accept in order to concentrate on studying. She returned to film when she was 14 accepting roles such as Jane Eyre and Fly Away Home. Her part in The X-Menthe XMenfilm set was the first one to become her most recognizable. Her role was reprised as Roguein sequels such as X2and X-Men The Final Stand.She was also seen in brief appearances on screen, most notably in Elaine Goodalein Bury My Heart at Wounded Kneefor which she received her first Emmynomination. She soon received opportunities to be part of TV programs and eventually she was a part in shows like True Bloodand Flack. |
