Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson, an singer and actress born in Los Angeles was born in 1983. The actress is the daughter music producer and singer Marc Anthony Thompson and the grandchild of musician-actor Bobby Ramos. Thompson was born in Los Angeles and raised there until moving to Brooklyn. Her mother is Mexican and British Isles origins, and her father is Afro-Panamanian. Thompson went to Santa Monica High School, where she played in numerous theatre productions. After graduation, she enrolled in Santa Monica College, where she earned a degree in the field of cultural Anthropology. At Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she appeared as Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo as well as Juliet". Her performance from brought her an NAACP Theatre nomination the same year.
